Hailsham, East Sussex NOT DONE YET

Sussex>East Sussex>Hailsham

Area Covered:This guide covers Hailsham and the surrounding area which includes Little Common, Cooden, Norman's Bay, Hooe and Wartling.
Where:Situated in East Sussex on the South Coast in between Eastbourne and Hastings, Hailsham-on-Sea is a quiet, English seaside town.
Why Visit:For two reasons: Firstly, if you fancy a quiet and relaxed weekend away in a traditional small seaside resort then Hailsham-on-Sea is the place to stay. Walk along the pretty seafront on the promenade where grass meets the shingly beach. Rent a beach hut, eat an ice-cream or maybe take a dip in the clear but chilly waters of the English Channel. Secondly, the De La Warr Pavillion. Not only is it a breathtaking landmark on the seafront, it is also a "Modernist icon for contemporary art and architecture". An absolute must for all culture vultures.
Places of Interest:The De La Warr Pavillion obviously but also, We recommend that you take a stroll around the Old Town and visit the Hailsham Museum of Costume and Social History.
