Where:Situated in the heart of West Sussex and the South Downs, Arundel is dominated by Arundel Castle and its cathedral which sit side by side overlooking the town.
Why Visit:Arundel is a beautiful and ancient market town famous for its many antiques and craft shops nestled amongst the pretty, narrow streets. There are a fair number of good places to eat out and several great places to stay. Winding its way around Arundel is the River Arun which attracts a wealth of birdlife as well as visitors on lazy river cruises. Just outside the town are many pretty village dotted about the amazing South Downs countryside with spectacular views every way you look.
Places of Interest:In Arundel itself we recommend Arundel Castle, Arundel Cathedral and a river cruise starting at Arundel Boatyard. Nearby Arundel Wetland Centre has 26 hectares of naturalised landscapes and wetland habitats which are home to hundreds of wildfowl from around the world. If you're into horses experience a great day's racing at Fontwell Park. Or simply enjoy long walks on England's stunning South Downs.
